This qualification is regulated by the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). It provides learners with a wide range of knowledge and skills needed to develop teaching practice, competence, and confidence.
This competence-based qualification should be assessed in a realistic work environment that aligns with the relevant assessment strategy. To achieve the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, a student must produce a portfolio of evidence and achieve a minimum of 36 credits, three from one mandatory unit and nine from optional units.
Assessment plans and portfolio evidence will be assessed by a fully qualified and occupationally competent coach/assessor virtually, one-to-one, using a variety of methods, and delivered flexibly according to the learner’s needs.
