Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is suitable for those responsible for safeguarding others. It is ideal for those who need to develop an awareness of safeguarding, for example, as part of an induction programme or personal development. Learners should be at least 18 years old, and there are no entry requirements. This qualification may support progression toward the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead.Programme Goals

Programme Delivery
This qualification is regulated by the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QFC). It provides learners with a wide range of knowledge to understand equality and diversity in the workplace.
This qualification contains three mandatory units:
• Unit 01 Understanding the Prevent Duty
• Unit 02 Understanding Safeguarding
• Unit 03 Understanding Online Safety.
This knowledge-based qualification should be assessed in a realistic work environment that aligns with the relevant assessment strategy. To achieve the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent, a learner must produce a portfolio of evidence and meet all the required criteria for three mandatory units
Assessment plans and portfolio evidence will be assessed by a fully qualified and occupationally competent coach/assessor through a series of virtual online reviews on a one-to-one basis, using various methods. They will be delivered flexibly according to the learner’s needs.
Portfolio evidence will then be internally quality assured and externally certified by the Awarding Body NCFE.
