Learner Success
This month, we’ve seen outstanding results from our learners pursuing their assessor and IQA awards. They have worked hard to demonstrate their assessment knowledge and work with their learners on their practice assessments.
We’re immensely proud of our learners’ dedication and hard work in achieving these qualifications.
Our Approach to Delivery
To ensure the continued success of our learners, we’ve refined our approach to delivering our assessor and IQA awards under the guidance of our awarding body, NCFE.
We now deliver these awards through blended learning, online one-to-one assessor and coaching sessions, and in-person assessment and training days.
Our learners are encouraged to use various resources, and we recommend Hilary Read’s Best Assessor’s Guide as our textbook. We encourage all our learners to study further by reading about the subject and accessing Ann Gravells’ valuable resources on her website.
During our in-person sessions, we hold a standardisation meeting, and trainee assessors and IQAs can conduct the required assessments with their practice learners. We share feedback on their assessments, which feeds into personal development plans to guide them towards best practice in assessment.
This approach benefits our learners and students hugely, as the value of peer learning and support creates a rich and inclusive learning environment.
Coaching Successes
Sometimes, our services combine to impact some of our clients greatly.
One of our recent clients approached us for some coaching, and during this process, we identified a career change for her. She then enrolled in one of our assessor programs and has recently qualified as an IQA.
